More Details Emerge In Murder Case Involving Five Men Charged With Killing Lil Phat

More details have emerged regarding a motive for the June 7th, 2012 shooting that took the life of Trill Entertainment rapper “Lil Phat.” Five people have been arraigned in the murder so far including NCAA star Deandre Washington and Atlanta based rapper Gary “El Dorado Red” Bradford along with Russian Mafia member Mani Chulpayev.

Previously investigators were reporting that they believed the mobster Mani Chulpayev had ordered the assassination of Lil Phat to prevent him from testifying against him regarding a stolen BMW that Lil Phat had leased from Chulpayev, however recent information has been turned into investigators to believe that there is definitely more to the story.

Prosecutors are now saying that Lil Phat took an opportunity to steal 10 pounds of marijuana from San Francisco State University’s point guard Decensae White and Gary Bradford, who is accused of being a member of the BGM (Bang Get Money) gang. The pair is said to have hired fellow BGM member Deandre Washington for the murder of Lil Phat with a price tag of $10,000.

A separate individual, Maurice Conner, is accused of accepting money to take part as a get-a-way driver. Prosecutors are saying that White obtained Lil Phats GPS coordinates on the vehicle he was currently renting, an Audi A7, to carry out the hit.

Both White and Chulpayev are denying involvement with the murder for hire plot and Chulpayev went as far as to contact the FBI before his arrest to speak with them personally about clearing his name thru a lie detector test.

Lil Phat was gunned down in his vehicle while he was driving to Atlanta’s Northside hospital for the birth of his first child.

Currently Chulpayev, Washington and Bradford are still in custody in the Fulton County Jail in Georgia while White is out on bond. Alleged get-away-driver Maurice Conner is in custody in Alabama.
